Abstract

This paper examines how the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) influences decision-making processes within organizations. It explores the technological, organisational, and processual implications of embedding AI capabilities such as machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics into enterprise information infrastructures. A conceptual diagram and supporting tables illustrate the mechanics of change and comparative performance metrics before and after AI integration. The discussion draws on literature up to 2018 to provide a foundational understanding of the shifts in decision-making enabled by AI.
